Laura Chapman
Registered Nurse
Born and raised in a small town in Ontario, Laura attended McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2019). After graduating Laura spent 2 years in Hamilton working on an inpatient Thoracic, Head and Neck unit. She also worked in the community and school setting providing care for a medically fragile pediatric client. In 2021, Laura moved to Calgary, she worked at Foothills Medical Center on the General Surgery and Surgical Oncology unit before transferring to the Emergency Department at Rocky view General Hospital.
Looking for additional experience outside of the hospital setting, Laura joined the team at Advanced Primary Care. Laura is passionate about patient centered care and admires the approach to patient and team-based care taken here at the clinic. Laura is also an advocate for refugee health and works alongside Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada providing nursing care to recently immigrated refuges.
In her time outside of work you can find Laura hiking and enjoying Alberta’s beautiful scenery, or you can find her in the art studio, creating pottery amongst other projects.
