Originally from the Maritimes, Sarah grew up very active, whether in competitive sport (figure skating) or in leisure activities such as hiking and camping. Her upbringing lead to a curiosity in human movement and she completed her first degree at St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics.
Post grad she lived in various cities across Canada and worked in various health clinics fields such as physiotherapy, a compounding pharmacy and ophthalmology. During this time Sarah was inspired to return to school to pursue a degree in Nursing with the goal of being more involved with patient care.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. After graduating she worked in a post surgical ward in Neurotrauma at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. After some time in acute care she then came to Calgary and transitioned to clinic work.
Sarah is passionate about patient-centered care and helping patient’s meet their individualized health and wellness goals. She is excited to contribute to a whole care model that utilizes comprehensive and preventative care.
Sarah loves to travel, make connections with others and keep in touch with people around the world. Among her travels she did a working holiday in Australia, Nursing in both public and private hospitals while traveling the country and completed her 200-hour Yoga instructor training in Cambodia. Sarah has also visited Northern Italy and Southeast Asia.
When not working Sarah can be found spending time with friends, running, practicing yoga, cooking, meditating or hiking in the mountains.
