Dr. Kiely Williams

Family Physician, Medical Director

Dr. Kiely Williams is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She graduated from The University of British Columbia Medical School in 2008 and completed her family medicine training at The University of Calgary. During residency, Dr. Williams’ clinical research investigated health outcomes of human trafficking victims locally, nationally and globally. Her team developed a novel approach to identify potential victims of trafficking presenting for health care services.

Upon graduation, Dr. Williams completed a hospitalist locum at Foothills Medical Centre. Additionally, she worked with the Obstetricians at Foothills Medical Centre before transitioning into community family practice. Dr. Williams completed additional training in pediatric mental health (CANReach mini-fellowship in pediatric psychopharmacology) and recently completed the International Society of Travel Medicine Certification Exam.

Dr. Williams holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Associate with the University of Calgary’s department of Family Medicine. She enjoys training medical students and resident physicians. She has administered examinations for International Medical graduates and has served on variety of committees. 

​

In addition to her contributions with the University of Calgary, Dr. Williams has also been involved in health and human rights advocacy with the United Nations. Additionally, she has participated in delivering healthcare to Indigenous populations in Papua, Indonesia. 

​

Dr. Williams has a wide variety of interests and enjoys the incredible variety of family medicine.  Dr. Williams was named Medical Director of Advanced Primary Care in 2018.

​

Dr. Williams married her husband Craig in 2001 and they have 3 young children. She loves spending time with her family, travelling, painting and playing soccer.
